HPCL share price: Share market update: OMCs trade in the red; HPCL, IGL among top losers


NEW DELHI: OMCs were trading in the red in Thursday’s session with their sectoral index on BSE trading lower.
Shares of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (down 2.24 per cent) , Indraprastha Gas (down 2.18 per cent) , Bharat Petroleum Corporation (down 2.09 per cent) and Castrol India (down 2.03 per cent) were trading with losses.
Oil And Natural Gas Corporation (down 1.61 per cent) , GAIL (India) (down 1.27 per cent) , Indian Oil Corporation (down 1.16 per cent) and Reliance Industries (down 0.84 per cent) too were trading lower.
The S&P BSE Oil & Gas was trading 1.35 per cent down at 12,565.41 around 11:00 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 76.85 points at 10,841.85 while the BSE Sensex was down 214.27 points at 36,846.10.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 7 were trading in the green, while 43 were in the red.
Shares of LIC Housing Fin, YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, DLF, Tata Steel, Tata Motors, NMDC, Dish TV India and Ashok Leyland were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
